Donald Trump goes completely off the deep end

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The White House is holding a Social Media Summit, according to Donald Trump. He was busy in the wee hours tweeting veiled threats and mistruths to his Russian bots and some actual followers. Trump’s early morning bathroom dump consisted of the following crap:

A big subject today at the White House Social Media Summit will be the tremendous dishonesty, bias, discrimination and suppression practiced by certain companies. We will not let them get away with it much longer. The Fake News Media will also be there, but for a limited period. The Fake News is not as important, or as powerful, as Social Media. They have lost tremendous credibility since that day in November, 2016, that I came down the escalator with the person who was to become your future First Lady. When I ultimately leave office in six years, or maybe 10 or 14 (just kidding), they will quickly go out of business for lack of credibility, or approval, from the public. That’s why they will all be Endorsing me at some point, one way or the other. Could you imagine having Sleepy Joe Biden, or @AlfredENeuman99, or a very nervous and skinny version of Pocahontas (1000/24th), as your President, rather than what you have now, so great looking and smart, a true Stable Genius! Sorry to say that even Social Media would be driven out of business along with, and finally, the Fake News Media!

He then deleted it and posted it again with some of the most bizarre references removed, but this “Stable Genius” still makes no sense. In a time when Mad Magazine has announced its print days are soon over, one must repeatedly look closely to make sure that the tweets are not from a parody account. But alas, this is our president and the way his reptilian gray matter works.

What “certain companies” he means is not certain, although it is likely he’s referring to Google and Twitter and who knows what else. For him to suggest social media is more important and powerful than the news is preposterous. When he ultimately leaves office in under six hundred days (not six years), we should have a real salute to America for getting it back from the great suppressor of truth.
