Donald Trump throws complete fit after Debate Commission announces rules changes

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Just how poorly did the debate go for Donald Trump? Not only does every poll say that he lost the debate, his wildly inappropriate behavior has prompted the Debate Commission to announce rules changes going forward, specifically to keep Trump from trying to talk over Joe Biden the entire time.

You’d think that after getting his butt kicked so badly in the first debate, Donald Trump would be looking to change strategy. Instead he’s apparently intent on doubling down on his strategy of yelling like an idiot the whole time, and he’s outraged that the rules are being changed.

Trump posted this tweet: “Why would I allow the Debate Commission to change the rules for the second and third Debates when I easily won last time?”

This is somewhat remarkable. It suggests that Donald Trump might actually believe he won the first debate, despite all evidence to the contrary. This would suggest that his handlers and babysitters are feeding him false information about debate polling, and trying to keep him sated by convincing him that he really is somehow winning. They’re not doing him any favors.
