Danger to himself and others

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

It seems people are actually starting to say the quiet part out loud. And that is that Donald Trump is completely unhinged. It took us s a long time to get to this moment. From the beginning, many in the media did not take Trump — and Trumpism as seriously as they should have.

In fact, I’d argue that many in the media actually got Trump into the office of President. Not all media did this. We didn’t. Some others didn’t.

But for a long time, there was this expectation that Trump would “change.” How many times did we hear that? It was like a broken record. Over and over — Surely Trump’s gone too far this time! Surely he’ll realize the error of his ways!

No and no. Because Trump is sick — he’s very ill. And he will never — ever — admit wrongdoing about ANYTHING. And now that is finally being seen for what I believe it is — malignant narcissism.

On CNN’s State of the Union, Scott Jennings spoke about Trump. Jennings is a Republican party campaign consultant. And he appeared aghast about Trump’s Truth social attack on Mitch McConnell and his wife.

And Jennings appeared livid. He said — and this I agree with — that if one heard someone they didn’t know ranting on the street like Trump does on Truth social, they would “call 911 before they hurt someone.”

“You’d say call 911 because it sounds like an unhinged, deranged person is on the loose and out on the street and maybe a danger to themselves and others.”

This statement is pure truth. And it is good to hear the quiet part said out loud. If the GOP would only stand against him, ANY power Trump has — or thinks he has — would dissipate. If every Republican stood against him, Trump would be contained — neutered.

As dangerous as many think Trump is, the worse danger is the motley group of Maga that coexist with him. And even more dangerous? The whole of the GOP who do nothing. Until the GOP stands up for themselves and America, Trump has the power. It could be taken from him in an instant — if the GOP could only remember where their voices are.
