Jill Stein has crazed Trump-Russia meltdown on live national television

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Jill Stein, the fringe far-left Green Party candidate for president in 2016, found herself named in this week’s grand jury indictments of the Russians who conspired to rig the election in Trump’s favor. She was accused of no wrongdoing, but the Russians were accused of having bent over backward to promote her candidacy, in the hope that it would take votes away from Hillary Clinton. One might think Stein would simply acknowledge what happened, stress that she hasn’t been accused of anything, and move on. Then again, she is Jill Stein.

Stein appeared on MSNBC this morning, and suffice it to say that things didn’t go well. She tried to insist that the Russian conspiracy to rig the election was nothing compared to the (imaginary and long-debunked) conspiracy to rig the Democratic primary in favor of Hillary Clinton, while yelling around about how the public is somehow “in revolt” against both parties.

In actuality, these indictments reveal that Russia was trying to rig the Democratic primary in favor of Bernie Sanders. To his credit, Sanders responded by demanding that the Russia investigation continue, and that the truth be uncovered no matter where it leads. For that reason, no one believes that Bernie was actually in on the Trump-Russia plot. On the other hand, Stein’s increasingly defensive and dishonest responses to the Trump-Russia scandal have led a whole lot of people on social media to suspect that she was in on it.

Just why did Jill Stein sit at a dinner banquet table in Moscow with Vladimir Putin and Trump adviser Michael Flynn, just as the 2016 presidential election cycle was getting underway? Was the dinner banquet a stupid move on the part of an obscure presidential candidate who didn’t realize she was being used by the Kremlin, or was she in on it the whole time? If Stein had any benefit of the doubt about the Trump-Russia scandal before, she doesn’t after this morning. She sounds as unhinged, and as guilty as Trump – and she’s an embarrassment to the left.
