Donald Trump crashes and burns at the Daytona 500

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Earlier today, Donald Trump decided that the best use of his time was to ride around the track at the Daytona 500 in his limousine. We can’t think of a more apt metaphor for his failed presidency than Trump going round and round in circles for no reason and not getting anywhere and it’s obvious he doesn’t belong there.

We’re not knocking NASCAR, just Trump’s awkward and pointless attempt at inserting himself into a NASCAR race. He’s once again wasting time pandering to his existing base, which is already going to vote for him, instead of getting out there and trying to win over additional voters so he can boost his approval rating out the gutter. But Trump is clinically compelled by his narcissism to go where he’s going to be cheered the most loudly, so he wastes his time on this. Trump is also more obsessed than ever with his border wall, which isn’t really being built, isn’t a wall anyway, and is literally collapsing:

Last week the Fake News said that a section of our powerful, under construction, Southern Border Wall “fell over”, trying to make it sound terrible, except the reason was that the concrete foundation was just poured & soaking wet when big winds kicked in. Quickly fixed “forever”.

Why is Donald Trump even talking about this? His fake wall / fence type thing collapsed weeks ago. Everyone else has moved on and forgotten about it. Now Trump is reminding everyone that he can’t even put up a stretch of fence without it falling down. This guy is crashing and burning at a record pace.
