Donald Trump is even further gone than we thought
On a day when Donald Trump’s increasingly deranged racism has prompted everyone from the Chancellor of Germany to the host of an ESPN sports talk show to call him out, and on a day when Trump’s second associate in two weeks has been charged with underage sex trafficking, it’s quite a minor offense to point out that Trump apparently doesn’t know how to count to four. That said, Trump apparently doesn’t know how to count to four.
All week Donald Trump has been carrying on with a racist and xenophobic tirade against four non-white Democratic Congresswomen. It’s become such a big thing, the four women have been dubbed “The Squad” by the media. The four of them even held a joint press conference about the controversy. So Trump surely knows he’s attacking four people, right? Not so much.
Today, Trump posted this tweet: “It is amazing how the Fake News Media became “crazed” over the chant “send her back” by a packed Arena (a record) crowd in the Great State of North Carolina, but is totally calm & accepting of the most vile and disgusting statements made by the three Radical Left Congresswomen.”
That’s right, he’s now decided that he’s only attacking three Democratic Congresswomen. Considering that he went on to mention Congresswoman Ilhan Omar in the next sentence, we presume she’s still included. But did he drop Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, or Ayanna Pressley from his hit list? Or did he forget one of them exists? Trump is such a vile racist, it’s possible that he hasn’t even bothered to count up the number of women of color he’s attacking, because they’re not people to him anyway. Or maybe Trump is so far gone, he can simply no longer count to four.
