Everything is converging at once, and it’s all about to land on Donald Trump’s head

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts seems to know something we don’t. Donald Trump has spent two years routinely attacking federal judges who rule against him, and Roberts has never said anything. But now Roberts, who seemingly sides with Trump on most of the issues, has come out swingin in defense of the judges in question. Why now? What’s changed? It’s the latest sign that everything is now rather swiftly coming to a head – and it’s about to land on Trump’s head.

Five days ago, Robert Mueller hinted in a court filing that he’d be making one or more major Paul Manafort-inspired arrests within the next ten days. Hours later, a U.S. Attorney’s office “accidentally” revealed that Julian Assange has already been criminally charged. The next day, prosecutors asked a judge for two weeks to work something out with accused Russian spy Maria Butina. Yesterday, Mueller made a three thousand word sealed court filing in what appears to be some kind of subpoena against Donald Trump – and moments later, Trump announced that he had submitted his written answers to Mueller.

What does all of this mean? It’s difficult to figure out precisely how all of these pieces fit together, but it’s rather easy to see that most or all of them do indeed fit together. More importantly, everything seems to be converging against Trump. Mueller, and the prosecutors he’s in league with, are still moving full steam ahead – and they appear to be just days from taking big swings.

There is no evidence, as of yet, that Donald Trump’s illegitimate appointment of the comically scandalous Matthew Whitaker has done anything to hinder what Robert Mueller is about to do. And now we’ve got the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, who could cast the deciding vote in rulings that decide whether or not Trump ends up ousted and in prison, suddenly making a very public point of telling Trump to go to hell. Enjoy your turkey!
