Robert Mueller zeroes in on Republican National Convention

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Of all the ugly details that emerged throughout the course of 2017 about the Trump-Russia plot to steal the election, one of the most disturbing was the revelation that the Trump campaign and the Russian government were holding their collusion meetings in nearly plain sight at the Republican National Convention. They even went so far as to alter the Republican Party’s charter to adopt a more Russia-friendly stance. Now we’re learning that Robert Mueller has indeed zeroed in on what went down at the convention.

In 2017 we learned that Trump campaign representatives including Jeff Sessions, J.D. Gordon, and others met with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak at the Republican National Convention in 2016. This belatedly explained why the Republican Party had made the pro-Russia changes to its platform during the convention, which made no sense at the time. Now Reuters is reporting that Mueller has been interviewing witnesses about how that all went down at the convention – and it’s bad news for the GOP leadership.

Mueller has shown a consistent history of only interviewing witnesses about events after he’s already flipped someone and ascertained what happened. He uses the interviews to determine which details the other witnesses are leaving out, which gives away where to specifically dig deeper. He can also force any lying witnesses to cut plea deals and flip them as well.

As Palmer Report has been pointing out for some time, it’s difficult to imagine that the Republican Party’s nominee for president managed to successfully conspire with the Russian government to change the language of the party platform, without the party’s leaders having known about it. This puts former RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on the hot seat. If they knew Trump and Russia were committing treason at the convention, Robert Mueller will nail them for it.
