Donald Trump gets confused and wanders away yet again

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Stop us if you’ve heard this one before: Donald Trump held a bill signing ceremony, and he got confused and wandered off without signing anything, leaving one of his own people to chase after him. That’s what happened today when Trump tried to wander away from the opioid bill signing, before Melania Trump had to retrieve him. We’d write this off as a one-off thing, but it just keeps happening to him.

Last year Donald Trump got confused and wandered out of an executive order signing ceremony before he’d signed anything, leaving Mike Pence to try to retrieve him. Trump held a joint press conference with Benjamin Netanyahu, and simply wandered off before it was over.

And of course Donald Trump famously wandered away from his own motorcade at the airport, before someone had to lead him back to it. In addition to everything else that’s objectionable, offensive, criminal, or just plain wrong about Trump, he’s clearly suffering from some kind of cognitive deficiency that leaves him wandering off in a state of confusion.

Donald Trump is more in need of professional medical attention than ever. If any other “President” of the United States were displaying this kind of vacant behavior this often, it would be a headline-grabbing scandal. But Trump has so many other kinds of scandals going on, his cognitive vacancy keeps taking a back seat. Half the time this guy doesn’t even seem to know where he is.
