Confused Donald Trump has senile meltdown about food

Donald Trump was never a particularly coherent speaker. But after largely going into hiding for two and a half years before recently reemerging as a faux-candidate, he’s now coming off much worse than in years past. Trump has become a bad parody of himself, as he sinks further into senility.

Yet Trump and his babysitters feel like they have to keep putting him out there, for fear the public will come to see him solely as a criminal defendant. And so an increasingly senile Trump ends up having moment like this one:

We keep hearing every contrarian hot take in the world about how Trump isn’t actually senile, he’s always been this bad, he’s faking it, or he’s just trolling us. But these hot takes are nonsense. It’s plainly obvious that Trump is sinking deep into senility. That’s just a fact, and it’s absurd that the media is still largely pretending that it’s not happening.
