Confirmed: Joe Biden smoked Donald Trump in the ratings last night

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Earlier today we brought you the story of how the initial numbers tentatively pointed to Joe Biden having won the ratings battle over Donald Trump in last night’s dueling town halls. Now the finalized numbers are in, and it’s as ugly for Trump as we were expecting it to be.

Biden’s town hall was only on ABC, while Trump’s town hall was simulcast on NBC, MSNBC, and CNBC. This alone prompted several observers to predict that Trump would win the ratings battle. But as it turns out, Biden got 900,000 more viewers on one network than Trump got on all three networks combined, meaning that Biden smoked Trump in the ratings department. If Trump’s town hall hadn’t been on three channels, Biden’s ratings victory would have been even larger. In addition, Biden won the online ratings battle on YouTube by a roughly three to one margin.

Of course elections are won by voter turnout, not by TV ratings. But Donald Trump seems to think they’re won by TV ratings, and even by his bizarre metric, he lost last night. People are simply tired of Trump’s villainous schtick, and they’re hungry for real American leadership. Now we just have to drive voter turnout for Biden on election day, and we’ll finish Trump off.
