Donald Trump launches into complete meltdown as it all goes wrong for him
Where are the ventilators? Where are the N95 masks? Where are the surgical masks? We’re this far into the deadly coronavirus crisis, and the Donald Trump regime is still unwilling or unable to get emergency medical equipment and supplies to anyone involved.
Trump keeps holding press conferences so he can falsely claim he’s distributed more equipment than he has, or falsely insist that the states don’t need such equipment, or falsely accuse hospital workers of stealing the equipment. No one outside of Trump’s braindead base is buying any of it.
Everyone knows Trump should have fully invoked the Defense Production Act across the board a month ago, but Trump has repeatedly insisted he didn’t need to do so because he’s been willing to get major U.S. manufacturers to do it voluntarily. But that’s working out about as poorly as one might have expected. So now Trump is melting down on Twitter:

That’s right, Donald Trump is failing on every level. He could have invoked the Defense Protection Act a month ago, and 3M would have been deep into providing emergency equipment for U.S. hospitals. He still thinks the DPA is called “P” for some reason. And he didn’t even bother to spell out what he’s accusing 3M of having done wrong, which isn’t exactly a way to build consensus.
