“Complete idiot” Vladimir Putin leaves onlookers stunned
Vladimir Putin has always been corrupt, murderous, and evil. But he used to be good at those things, which is why he used to succeed in most of his evil gambits. But these days Putin is, in addition to being all those awful things, also an inept idiot. It’s why he’s losing so badly in things like the Ukraine war.
Don’t just take our word for it. Ask regional expert Anders Åslund, who has observed such a severe decline in Putin’s abilities, he’s now (presumably sarcastically) suggesting that perhaps Putin has been replaced by a body double:

Putin’s newfound status as an inept idiot does not necessarily make him any less dangerous. But it does mean that taking him on requires a different mindset than was required back when Putin was a savvy villain who knew how to pick his battles and therefore generally played them to a win or a draw. These days Putin only knows how to lose – and how to cause trouble while he’s losing. Putin is, astonishingly, now indeed a complete idiot.
