Healthcare is a right. Women should be able to make their own independent decisions about their own bodies. Social Security and Medicaid will NEVER be cut on President Biden’s watch. I think of all of these things as gemstones, gemstones in velvet pouches, and President Biden has opened the them to let these gemstones shine as he tells the American people who he is and what the Democratic party stands for.

Now picture — an empty pouch — filled with the voices of the past. That would be the GOP. You see, WE have opened our pouches and are wearing our messaging 24 hours a day, seven days a week, all night, all day, reaching Americans who want good and prosperous lives. But Republicans have no message. They are closed to the general public — closed for business.

That might be why DOZENS—not one, not two, not three—but dozens, upon, dozens, upon dozens of Republicans are planning to skip the upcoming Republican retreat, set to happen this Wednesday and Thursday. At the time of this writing, fewer than — wait for it — 100 Republicans have sent back an RSVP. That’s less than half of the GOP conference.

There is an ominous reason for that, and that is — infighting. “Holding back progress on various issues. Some Republicans are just tired — sick of the sniping, the quarreling, and the dysfunction. So they are refusing to attend. How utterly Embarrassing for the GOP! Here is a partial list of some GOPers not planning to attend.

Reps:

Dave Joyce of Ohio

Mark Green of Tennessee

Dusty Johnson of South Dakota

Kelly Armstrong of North Dakota

Tim Burchett of Tennessee

Stephanie Bruce of Oklahoma

This retreat, held in West Virginia is expected to have shockingly low attendance.

“The House GOP is in turmoil ahead of its policy retreat in West Virginia.”

This is from Axios. How can one do policy if the policy makers cannot be bothered to show up? Fewer than 100 Republicans are expected to be there.

The conference aims at unification, which is funny since the GOP is about anything but unification these days.
That is not all.

One of their primary speakers at the event, Fox host Larry Kudlow — just canceled. What a nightmare. But I have saved the best for last. One Republican said they were worried that moving this event to a hotel “WITH ALCOHOL” could exacerbate infighting.

Well, well, well. Is that a polite way of saying republicans cannot hold their liquor? Just WHAT does this person think would happen if these nitwits got hold of a bit of beer or wine? A chaperone perhaps should accompany them.

Democrats are brimming with sparking ideas and policy positions. The Republican Party is closed for business, as it seems they can’t even attend a conference among themselves without fighting breaking out.
