Clarence Thomas is going to HATE this
This week is not one that will likely put a smile on Clarence Thomas’s face. Thomas (one I will never refer to as ‘Justice” again) might not be all too happy to hear that Senators Sheldon Whitehouse and Ron Wyden have made a referral to the Justice Department.
They have asked the DOJ to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Thomas, specifically, Thomas’s corruption, which has stunk up the extreme court bench for quite a while now. Among the things they’d like to see investigated include:
– Tax violations
– Ethics violations
– False statement violations
Oh, happy day. Here is some of what they say in the letter: “The breadth of the omissions uncovered to date, and the serious possibility of additional tax fraud and false statement violations by Justice Thomas and his associates, warrant the appointment of a Special Council to investigate this misconduct.”
Hi Clarence! How is your day going?! In the letter, they say that the”evidence assembled thus far plainly suggests that Justice Thomas has committed numerous willful violations of federal ethics and false statement laws.”‘
I do adore seeing this .l highly doubt Thomas does. So, will the DOJ actually do what these senators are asking for? I do not know. Neither does Clarence Thomas, which is why I imagine he isn’t having the greatest week.
