It’s not necessarily a surprise, considering everything that’s transpired up to this point. Yet it’s still remarkable news today that Cindy McCain, widow of the late Republican Senator John McCain, is going to formally endorse Democratic nominee Joe Biden tonight during the Democratic National Convention.

Cindy McCain tweeted this just a few moments ago: “My husband and Vice President Biden enjoyed a 30+ year friendship dating back to before their years serving together in the Senate, so I was honored to accept the invitation from the Biden campaign to participate in a video celebrating their relationship.”

She also posted this teaser video:

John McCain repeatedly spoke out against Donald Trump on various issues. John McCain also had a longtime personal friendship with Joe Biden. Now Cindy McCain is flat out endorsing Biden. This comes after John Kasich, Meg Whitman, Christine Todd Whitman, and other Republicans endorsed Biden last night.
