Chris Christie’s coronavirus is reportedly serious

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

In the week since Chris Christie tested positive for coronavirus and checked in to the hospital, there have been virtually no updates on his condition. We figured this meant he probably wasn’t doing well, because if there was good news about his condition, he and his camp would be putting it out there. Sure enough, it turns out he’s not doing well.

According to a CNN report tonight, Chris Christie’s coronavirus is the “most serious” of anyone in Donald Trump’s orbit, and Christie has been placed on Remdesivir. This is a drug that’s generally only given to coronavirus patients with severe infections.

The relative good news is that the CNN report makes no mention of Chris Christie being on oxygen or a ventilator, which would mean that he’s in real trouble. Christie’s weight and asthma make him particularly high risk. He hope he makes it – but the severity of his condition is the latest reminder that COVID is no joke. Wear a mask.
