Chris Christie just gave away how screwed Donald Trump is
Let me be clear. I do not like Chris Christie. We can talk about Bridgegate till the cows come home. I think 90% of voters know or believe that Christie was fully aware of everything that occurred during the horrible time we call Bridgegate.
And what he did was not that different from something that Donald Trump would do. It was a childish, bullying, thoroughly stupid move that put peoples lives in danger and that is why Chris Christie’s career has never recovered.
Chris Christie will likely never hold elective office again. And all because he gave in to his worst impulses. He didn’t listen to his better angels, and he in the spirit of Donald Trump, did something so horrific that it destroyed his whole career.
So no, I do not like Chris Christie. But there is no denying that having him in the Republican primary race is a heck of an entertaining thing. Christie participated in a town hall on CNN. And during the Townhall he went after Donald Trump.
Trump as you might be aware, has lashed out against Christie, fat shaming him or trying to. Chris Christie called Trump a child and said that this country needs to be led by an adult. Thank you, Christie, for our country IS led by an adult. It is led by Joe Biden, a.k.a. Dark Brandon, a living legend, and one of the best damn presidents this country has ever seen.
Christie ended his attack on Donald Trump by channeling his own inner Trump. “Loser, loser, loser,” Christie taunted Trump. I must confess that a smile hovered about my mouth. Because isn’t that what we really want to see? We want to see at least one Republican with balls, one Republican who’s ready, willing and able to call Donald Trump what he is, and what he is is a loser
So no, I do not like Chris Christie. On a scale of one to 10 in the awfulness department, Bridgegate was a 10. But I’ve said from the beginning, I don’t think Christie’s in the race to win. I do, however think he is in it to taunt Donald Trump, and I think it’s OK to egg him on a little.
I don’t know about you readers, but it’s been a hell of a frustration for me to watch wimpy little Republican weebles, wobbling and falling down in the face of one negative word from Trump on truth social.
I want to see adults in the room not little baby mini Trumps, running scared, tails between their legs. Chris Christie right now is the welcome primate in the sea of ostriches who are covering their heads in denial
To hear Trump‘s own words turned back on him, the term he hates most of all, (loser loser) was one for the ages. It would be so nice if all the other Republican candidates did the same thing, and just let out all the seven years of frustration and anger, I imagine most of them have toward Trump and told him off. I actually think it would be highly therapeutic for all of them.
