Chris Christie hospitalized

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump is no longer the only member of his orbit who’s been hospitalized with coronavirus. Earlier today it was reported that Chris Christie, whose weight and preexisting conditions put him at high risk, had tested positive for the virus. Now Christie says he’s checked into the hospital.

Chris Christie tweeted this just now: “In consultation with my doctors, I checked myself into Morristown Medical Center this afternoon. While I am feeling good and only have mild symptoms, due to my history of asthma we decided this is an important precautionary measure. I am thankful for our hardworking medical professionals and look forward to coming home soon.”

We wish Chris Christie well with his health, but it’s worth pointing out that he’s spent the past five years kissing up to Donald Trump and getting nothing in return – no White House job, no campaign job, and a further degraded reputation – and now Trump has given Christie a potentially deadly virus on top of it.

This comes even as Melania Trump, Hope Hicks, Kellyanne Conway, Trump 2020 campaign manager Bill Stepien, three Republican Senators, and others have tested positive for coronavirus over the past few days.
