Here’s the thing about Donald Trump’s secret Chinese bank account

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. In the flurry of bizarre scandals coming to light, from Rudy Giuliani’s compromising position and the fallout, to a strange press conference from both the FBI director and Trump’s toady who was put in charge of National Intelligence warning about foreign interference in the election, a pretty significant bit of news from Tuesday got swept under the rug, with hardly anyone talking about it. However, it may not remain under the rug for long.

On Wednesday, President Obama officially joined the Biden campaign on the trail, as he appeared at a roundtable discussion and later at a drive-in rally in Philadelphia. During the round table, he reminded us of what a president looks like – giving a strong, moving speech about a familiar theme of hope – believing that in the face of difficulty, we can overcome and achieve a better world. He only made one reference to Donald Trump, criticizing him on the White House’s appalling pandemic response.

At the rally, however, he wasted no time pointing out Trump’s October surprise: “We know that he (Trump) continues to do business in China because he has a secret Chinese bank account. How is that possible? Listen, can you imagine if I had had a secret Chinese bank account? When I was running for reelection? You think Fox News might have been a little concerned about that? They would have called me Beijing Barry.”

It’s hard to say if Fox News will cover this incident – because the last thing most of their pundits want to do is draw attention to Trump’s Chinese bank account just before the election, unless their hatred for Obama compels them to respond. Donald Trump almost certainly will take the bait, however, as he can’t help but look whenever his name is mentioned, and there’s a good chance he could do it before the final debate, where this topic will almost certainly come up again.
