Donald John Trump’s terrible debate performance is a hiccup that won’t leave him, and it seems more are on the way. Vice President Kamala Harris has just accepted an invitation from CNN to participate in a debate with Donald Trump on October 23. But — but — but — but what about the traitor? This is a new problem for Trump because before, all he had to do was say he won. Now, he has two options.
If he declines to debate, he will be labeled as a white-feathered little chicken. Or he can debate — days before the election — and bomb bigly. What will he do? It doesn’t help that Donald John Trump, chief felon, has effusively praised Bash and Tapper in the past, who moderated the June debate between Biden and Trump. They are set to moderate this one as well.
He can’t use moderator bias, so the question remains: How will he get out of doing it? I do not believe there are any good options for Trump. It’s a brilliant move on the part of the Harris campaign, as they’ve just upped the ante significantly.
