Significant changes are coming to both CNN and MSNBC. Some of these changes are verified, while some are only rumors. So let’s take a look at the latest news regarding cable television — and there is quite a bit of it.

CNN has replaced Jeff Zucker, and the newest hire is Chris Licht, who will be the new CNN President. If you recognize his name, it’s because Licht is the former producer of Stephen Colbert. Reportedly, Chris wants to take CNN back to “hard news” and stop away from political talking points.

This is interesting news, and there is no telling how this will go. There are also rumors about who will be hired to fill Chris Cuomo’s shoes.

Now, these are just rumors, although these peoples’ names have come up in multiple reports. Number one is Chris Wallace. The former Fox host is already a part of CNN, set to have his own show on CNN+, the new streaming service.

But how would he do as a nightly host at CNN? In addition, Brian Williams is said to be under consideration to replace Cuomo as well. Let me be upfront. If CNN hires Williams, I will be back as a regular viewer. He’d be a wonderful addition, but I’m not sure about this reporting. People are chattering about this, though.

Another rather interesting rumor is that ALL the cable networks are interested in hiring Biden Press Secretary Jen Psaki. Reportedly, Psaki might be getting ready to leave the Biden administration and has attracted interest from many News networks.

And then there is Stephanie Ruhle. Ruhle has taken over for Brian Williams on “The eleventh hour” and is doing a fine job so far. I am actually pleasantly surprised with how well she is doing. She is not Williams (Nobody is), but she has her own qualities that she brings and response has been good so far.

It is hard to know what’s in the future of these cable networks, but there is no doubt significant changes coming to both CNN and MSNBC. It will be interesting as we see how these changes shape the networks.
