As Donald Trump’s fake and dying presidency has dragged on, we’ve seen his fake border wall gradually dying as well. It’s gone from being a concrete wall, to the renovation of existing fencing, to some metal poles that anyone could cut through with the proper saw. It’s also gone from being paid for by Mexico, to being paid for by Congress, to now something completely indecipherable.

Donald Trump threw a sulking tantrum on the White House lawn today, which is probably not the best look for a guy who’s been exposed as having treasonously rigged his own election, and is desperately trying to avoid being taken from the Oval Office to a prison cell. During his meltdown today, he tried to claim that he never said Mexico was going to pay for the wall.

Here’s what Trump said: “When during the campaign, I would say ‘Mexico is going to pay for it,’ obviously, I never said this, and I never meant they’re gonna write out a check, I said they’re going to pay for it. They are.” Let’s see if we can decipher this. He’s saying that when he said it during the campaign, he obviously never said it? What?

Donald Trump has backed himself into a corner, and he knows there’s no way out of it. He’d like to come out swinging, but he knows he’s too weak and damaged to even make a fist. So now he’s resorting to caving on the whole Mexico thing, while insisting that when he said Mexico would pay for it, he never said it. Someone get the straitjacket.
