Donald Trump throws a tantrum after he gets caught cheating
The Supreme Court issued a horrid ruling today that essentially said Gerrymandering is constitutional. This ruling will set America back decades, and will go down as one of the court’s worst ever. Then the Supreme Court essentially said that it wanted to side with Donald Trump over his citizenship question on the census, but they couldn’t do so, because Trump’s side cheated.
Donald Trump’s Commerce Secretary and close ally Wilbur Ross was caught flat out lying about the circumstances of the citizenship question, in the hope of conning the courts into ruling in Trump’s favor. This predictably didn’t work, because the Trump regime is as incompetent as it is evil. Now Trump is throwing a tantrum because he and his cheaters got caught.
Trump posted this weird meltdown in response: “Seems totally ridiculous that our government, and indeed Country, cannot ask a basic question of Citizenship in a very expensive, detailed and important Census, in this case for 2020. I have asked the lawyers if they can delay the Census, no matter how long, until the United States Supreme Court is given additional information from which it can make a final and decisive decision on this very critical matter. Can anyone really believe that as a great Country, we are not able the ask whether or not someone is a Citizen. Only in America!”
Of course the reality is that Donald Trump is practically a Russian citizen himself, so perhaps he should consider sitting this one out. As far as his assertion that he’ll delay the 2020 census indefinitely, we don’t know if he can pull that off – but it’s the latest reminder that Trump is trying to dismantle America and its democracy one piece at a time.
