Cat 5 Blue Wave

MAGA beware. November is coming. The signs are terrible — for you. Once you set aside Fox News and the mainstream media’s grab for fear-inducing narratives, the prognostications are not favourable, to say the least.

Where there are Senate races in swing states, Republicans are behind in every single one. Moreover, Senate candidate Democrats are within the margin of error in Texas and Florida as well. Down-ballot voting isn’t the only thing. There’s also up-ballot voting.

This election is being driven by women and independent voters, and they are all breaking for Kamala. What’s more, women are pissed off. Rapist, misogynistic Trump has openly attacked women and their rights long enough, and he is about to feel their fury. While it’s true that it’s still one vote per person no matter how motivated, fury will drive women to the polls in record numbers, and many men will follow for the same reason.

It’s going to be a hurricane, and not just any hurricane, a category 5. And it’s going to be blue. Sitting as we are in the calm of the eye of the storm, it can be difficult to believe. But we stand today on the edge of history. I believe the American people are not just going to repudiate Trump, they are going to do so in record-setting numbers. America has faced many crises before, and Americans have always risen to the occasion. This is one such occasion.

In calm and happy reflections after the coming storm has passed, we can contemplate at our leisure one of the great villains of this election cycle. For the most part the mainstream media has covered itself in shame. They have deliberately sanewashed Trump in order to preserve the fiction that he is a legitimate candidate. Every major broadcast network and every cable network has destroyed their credibility by largely giving a pass to and making excuses for America’s Hitler. Thanks to them, Trump has survived a series of scandals any one of which would destroy anyone else’s political career. But the mainstream media has shamefully kept him alive. It will be the American people who will pull the plug.

Some of the big newspapers have destroyed their credibility as well. Democracy is dying in darkness at the Washington Post. The New York Times seems hellbent on giving us all the news that’s unfit to print. And now the once-liberal bastion of good sense and good writing, the Los Angeles Times, has refused to endorse Kamala Harris. In a rare and refreshing display of journalistic courage and integrity, three members of the Times editorial board have resigned: Mariel Garza, Karin Klein and Robert Greene.

Yes, we’ve heard it a million times, the print media and TV are doing this for ratings. Well I say bullshit. I think they’re doing it because they’ve enjoyed nearly a decade of a one-man news cycle, a man who can be guaranteed to give them a major story every day for thirty thousand straight days. They are addicted to Trump and they want more. They want him to win. Well the American people are sick and tired of Trump, they’re sick and tired of the mainstream media, and they are about to say how much — with their feet and their vote.

I believe Americans are going to continue to abandon the mainstream media and turn more and more to social media for their news. Younger voters are already there. Politicians recognise that podcasts, YouTube and Tik Tok are increasingly where it’s at.

So beware MAGA. Beware mainstream media. The Blue Cat 5 is coming for you. Vengeance is ours. And, as ever, ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, comrades and friends, stay safe.
