Carrie Underwood is going to regret this Trump thing
It’s said that those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it. This might be the most relevant quote in the entire universe right now, given that the United States has somehow chosen to put its worst-ever President back in charge.
But this quote also applies on a more specific level. For instance, after Trump somehow won the first time, a few musical acts decided to accept invitations to perform at the monster’s inauguration ceremony. Nearly all of them came to regret it, and many of them backed out before the inauguration even happened.
But Carrie Underwood apparently hasn’t studied history, because she’s now reportedly planning to perform at Donald Trump’s 2025 inauguration next week. Good luck with that, idiot. Underwood may be a country music singer, but she’s managed to score fans across the spectrum over the past few decades. Now she’s apparently going to throw all of that away just so she can suck up to the worst person in the world.
Given the instant widespread backlash against Carrie Underwood today, we’ll see if she ends up backing out, like so many did in 2017. But just by outing herself as the kind of lowlife who would be willing to share a stage with Trump, Underwood has already done irreparable damage to herself. Some dummies just never learn.
