Careful what you wish for

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

This writer cannot help but chuckle. And think: So who’s having the last laugh now? With the election of Donald Traitor, we have not discussed the extreme court. These six not-so-ethical Justices will undoubtedly be affected by Trump’s re-election. And perhaps not in a good way.

Reports are coming fast and furious that there is already a bit of a civil war inside the GOP. Why? Because some of them are determined to force Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito out of the court. Note to these two incompetent justices: you asked for it! Now you have it.

Oh yes, this writer watches with glee the ongoing shitshow. Some want these two out, and they want them out now! Who would replace them? Why, young bucks, of course! Ah, the one thing these crazed Justices cannot control is the fountain of youth, and that bubbling fountain left these two by the wayside long ago.

The New York Times is reporting that various Trump factions are already squabbling over this. Some want these two out ASAP. Leonard Leo, the extreme court architect, is unhappy with such talk but hasn’t succeeded in stopping it yet.

Leo said these two justices should not be driven out but should be “treated with dignity.” Yes, these words produced a fit of rather manic giggles in this writer. Dignity? Respect? For these two? One is the wholly owned property of his lobbyists and the other is a witch fanatic — no respect for these two: “fissures in the conservative world.”

Remarkably, Donald john trump isn’t even in office yet, and they’re already fighting. One can be sure that neither Thomas nor Alito will likely appreciate their suddenly diminished status as old folks. Unfortunately, these two are learning the hard way: Be careful what you wish for.
