Lindsey Graham cancels Senate debate amid growing suspicion that he has coronavirus

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

After a day and a half of back and forth about whether Lindsey Graham was willing to take a coronavirus test ahead of the Senate debate in South Carolina, the Post and Courier newspaper is reporting tonight that the debate has indeed been canceled because Graham refused to get tested.

Here’s the thing. Lindsey Graham is a nutjob but he’s not politically naive. He understands how these things work. He knows that by refusing to take a coronavirus test, he’s going to cause most people to just assume that he has coronavirus, which will hurt him at least somewhat in the polls.

The only reason for Graham to refuse to take this test is that he thinks (or knows) that he does have coronavirus, and that if the public finds out he has it, it’ll hurt him even more in the polls. This doesn’t mean for sure that Graham has coronavirus – but means that he believes he has coronavirus. In any case, you can support Jaime Harrison here.
