Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign finance shell company scandal just got even uglier

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Last week the lid was blown off a scheme where more than half a billion dollars in Trump 2020 campaign money was diverted into a secret shell company that was set up by Jared Kushner and had Lara Trump on its board of directors. Now the whole thing has gotten even uglier.

Business Insider is now reporting that the shell company wasn’t merely controlled by the Trump family, it was run by the Trump family as well. In fact the company was run by one of Eric Trump’s top deputies. This still doesn’t prove that the money was illegally spent or pocketed. But if that does turn out to be the case, everyone involved will be facing criminal liability. There are very strict laws on what can be done with campaign money.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump’s campaign lawyer Rudy Giuliani insisted this week that the Arizona legislature was going to vote on Wednesday to reassign Joe Biden’s electoral votes in the state to Donald Trump. Not only did that not happen today, the Arizona legislature isn’t even currently in session. At this point Trump’s effort to “contest” the election is nothing more than a hallucination.
