Earlier today, Larry David – the guy who portrays Bernie Sanders on Saturday Night Live – publicly told Bernie Sanders to drop out of the race and get behind Joe Biden. If hearing that message from his own doppelganger wasn’t enough, now someone closer to Bernie is telling him to drop out.

Bernie Sanders’ own campaign manager Faiz Shakir is now telling him to drop out, according to an eye opening Washington Post report. In addition, Sanders’ 2016 campaign manager Jeff Weaver is also telling Sanders to drop out. Apparently Sanders is open to the idea, but he’s still holding out hope that he’ll somehow magically win the Wisconsin primary, where he’s expected to lose by thirty points.

This same WaPo article says that Bernie Sanders’ senior campaign adviser Nina Turner and Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib are urging Sanders to remain in the race. This isn’t surprising considering that Turner and Tlaib have been tweeting vicious and dishonest accusations at Joe Biden for weeks.

It’s not clear what Bernie Sanders will do or when. But it is clear that his 2020 campaign, which has always been chock full of terrible senior advisers, is now turning against itself. Let’s be clear here: the Post would not have this story unless one of Bernie’s own people leaked it, to try to publicly pressure Bernie to drop out. If Sanders doesn’t drop out soon, with this pandemic going on, he’ll likely become the biggest pariah in the history of the American left.
