Despondent Donald Trump can’t stop watching cable news and ranting about it as the Jeffrey Epstein news gets worse for him

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump has been spending today the way he usually spends Sundays: flipping the television dial and hoping to find someone on cable news who’s saying nice things about him. We know this because Trump just admitted as much. What makes today different is that the big story is last night’s arrest of Trump’s friend Jeffrey Epstein on charges of sex trafficking of minors. That story just keeps getting worse for Trump, and he seems to know it.

At around 8pm eastern time tonight, Donald Trump posted this surreal rant: “Watching @FoxNews weekend anchors is worse than watching low ratings Fake News CNN, or Lyin’ Brian Williams (remember when he totally fabricated a War Story trying to make himself into a hero, & got fired. A very dishonest journalist!) and the crew of degenerate Comcast (NBC/MSNBC) Trump haters, who do whatever Brian & Steve tell them to do. Like CNN, NBC is also way down in the ratings. But Fox News, who failed in getting the very BORING Dem debates, is now loading up with Democrats & even using Fake unsourced @nytimes as a “source” of information (ask the Times what they paid for the Boston Globe, & what they sold it for (lost 1.5 Billion Dollars), or their old headquarters building disaster, or their unfunded liability? Fox News is changing fast, but they forgot the people who got them there!”

In other words, Donald Trump now hates every TV network, because all of them are reporting bad news for him. Also, at no point did Trump ever provide the full name of “Steve” so we’re not sure who he’s referring to. Steve Kornacki? Steve Patterson? Steve Jobs? Steve Harvey? Doesn’t matter. The bottom line is that Trump is freaking out about his negative news coverage at a time when the Epstein news is getting even worse for him.

Last night, Palmer Report and others flagged the fact that Jeffrey Epstein had been arrested by the SDNY Public Corruption Unit, which by definition means the case involves a corrupt public official. Lots of people think that official is Donald Trump’s Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta, who let Epstein off the hook in the first place. But now Law and Crime is spelling out just how bad this is for everyone involved. No wonder Trump is desperately flipping channels, looking for any good news about himself, and going berserk when he can’t find it.
