Ivanka Trump once tweeted in jest that her husband Jared Kushner was โ€œso busted.โ€ Kushner has since been implicated in a number of potential crimes ranging from conspiring with the Russians to obstruction of justice, the phrase has taken on a life of its own. Now, based on a pair of major developments, Kushner is indeed busted. Part of it stems from a crucial detail that most of the media missed this week, but Special Counsel Robert Mueller surely noticed.

Over the past several months, numerous major news outlets have reported that Donald Trump blames Jared Kushner for having pushed him into firing FBI Director James Comey. That decision quickly went south when it resulted in the appointment of Mueller to take over the investigation, and the firing itself became fodder for obstruction of justice charges. Now weโ€™ve learned that just a few weeks after Comey was fired, Trump instructed his people to fire Mueller as well.

This demonstrates a pattern of intent to obstruct justice on Trumpโ€™s part. Based on the timing, there is every reason to suspect that Kushner may have also pushed Trump into making the attempt at firing Mueller. If Mueller can find evidence of this, and heโ€™ll surely try if he hasnโ€™t found it already, it would nail Kushner for a pattern of obstruction of justice as well. But this wasnโ€™t even the only thing that went wrong for Kushner this week.

A federal judge has ruled that Jared Kushnerโ€™s family business must disclose its secret partners (link). This means weโ€™re about to find out about how Kushnerโ€™s business is truly being funded, which foreign entities are involved, and any political favors that he may be trading in exchange for personal gain. Kushner is having an arguably even worse week than Trump is. Jared is so busted.
