Meet Daniel Goldman, the guy who’s going to take down Donald Trump
Even as Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his team of federal prosecutors continue to finalize their criminal case against Donald Trump, the House Intelligence Committee is running a Trump-Russia investigation of its own. It’s led by Chairman Adam Schiff, who is a former prosecutor. Now Schiff has added another former prosecutor to his team who fits the bill perfectly.
If you’re familiar with Daniel Goldman, it’s probably from his numerous appearances as an analyst on MSNBC. Palmer Report has long felt that Goldman has provided some of the most cogent legal analysis of Donald Trump’s criminal scandals on any television channel. Now the House Intelligence Committee has announced that it has hired Daniel Goldman to run point on its Trump-Russia investigation. But this is about more than just adept TV punditry.
Daniel Goldman knows what he’s talking about when it comes to Trump-Russia because he spent a decade working as a federal prosecutor for the SDNY, and he specifically focused on busting up Russian organized crime in New York. This means Goldman has experience targeting crime families, money laundering, financial fraud, and all of the other descriptions that fit Donald Trump.
Of course Adam Schiff’s House Intelligence Committee is not the only committee to hire an A-list expert to assist with its investigation into Donald Trump’s crimes. Last month Jerry Nadler’s House Judiciary Committee hired CREW activist Norm Eisen to help with its own investigation into Trump’s crime spree. House Democrats are showing that they’re serious about making Trump answer for his crimes.
