Donald Trump dumps Brad Parscale as his poll numbers collapse into total freefall

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

If you’ve been wondering what it would take for Donald Trump to finally dump his beleaguered and laughably incompetent 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale, you finally got your answer today. Trump got hit with a brutal round of new polls this evening, including a Quinnipiac poll that has Trump down an astounding fifteen points to Joe Biden nationwide, and now Trump is finally pulling the trigger.

Trump posted this rather amusing tweet just now: “I am pleased to announce that Bill Stepien has been promoted to the role of Trump Campaign Manager. Brad Parscale, who has been with me for a very long time and has led our tremendous digital and data strategies, will remain in that role, while being a Senior Advisor to the campaign. Both were heavily involved in our historic 2016 win, and I look forward to having a big and very important second win together. This one should be a lot easier as our poll numbers are rising fast, the economy is getting better, vaccines and therapeutics will soon be on the way, and Americans want safe streets and communities!”

In other words, Donald Trump is demoting Brad Parscale to a lesser role, but he’s trying to allow Parscale to save face. Parscale’s 2020 campaign strategy was a total disaster. We’ll see if Stepien makes any major changes to that strategy, and if those changes help Trump’s prospects in any way. But this move makes clear that Trump is currently losing so badly, even he now fully understands that he’s losing.
