Donald Trump has completely bonkers Twitter meltdown ahead of his impeachment press conference

Donald Trump is set to hold a televised press conference any minute now, ostensibly about the fact that he’s being impeached for having tried to criminally conspire with Ukraine to alter the outcome of the 2020 U.S. presidential election. In the meantime, Trump just posted an utterly bizarre Twitter thread which offers some hints about the bonkers message he’s about to deliver in front of the cameras.

Trump posted this tirade on Twitter: “I have informed GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy and all Republicans in the House that I fully support transparency on so-called whistleblower information but also insist on transparency from Joe Biden and his son Hunter, on the millions of dollars that have been quickly and easily taken out of Ukraine and China. Additionally, I demand transparency from Democrats that went to Ukraine and attempted to force the new President to do things that they wanted under the form of political threat.”

It’s anyone’s guess what this is supposed to mean (our Trump-to-English dictionary is completely worn out), but it sounds like Trump is urging House Republicans to promote the fake Joe Biden scandal as a way of trying to distract from the fact Trump is being impeached.

Kevin McCarthy has shown thus far that he’s craven and stupid enough to go along with Donald Trump’s stunts. But is McCarthy really willing to go down with him on this? We’ll find out soon enough, as Trump prepares to hold what should be a historically deranged and dizzying press conference. We’re not sure whether to advise you to go grab the popcorn or the dramamine.
