Donald Trump goes completely bonkers about Mitt Romney, gives something away in the process

Dear Palmer Report readers,

We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.

In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $3360 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,

Earlier this evening Palmer Report pointed out that, more than twenty-four hours after Republican Senator Mitt Romney condemned Donald Trump’s fake new “deal” with Turkey over Syria, Trump finally responded – tweeting the exact same stupid video about Romney that he’d posted four weeks ago. Now Trump (and his social media handlers) are trying to cover for their laziness by rushing out a new video about Romney, except not really, and it’s completely bonkers.

Donald Trump just now tweeted “REPUBLICANS MUST STICK TOGETHER AND FIGHT!” He included a video that depicts Mitt Romney wearing fake sunglasses while accusing him of being a “Democrat secret asset.” This is hilarious considering the Democrats still hate Romney as much as ever, even though they are applauding Romney’s recent willingness to call Trump out for his criminal scandals. Here’s the kicker though.

Roughly twenty seconds into the new video about Romney, you realize it’s still largely the same old video about Romney, just with a new beginning tacked on. Trump and his social media people just keep recycling the same old crap, suggesting they really are out of ammo. It gets worse.

Donald Trump is clearly focusing his ire at Mitt Romney, while begging other Republicans to stick with him. But Trump is ignoring the fact that, for instance, Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski condemned him yesterday. He’s also ignoring the House Republicans who have spent the past 24 hours trying to distance themselves from him. The overall GOP pushback against Trump is tepid and inadequate and reeks of cowardice – but it’s just enough that it’s now a problem for Trump. He just gave away that he knows it’s a problem, and he’s begging the GOP in all caps not to abandon him.
