Donald Trump, the world’s most inept poker player, has a “tell” that’s so obvious whenever he’s been dealt a bad hand, he might as well just jump up on the table and yell about the cards he’s holding. Come to think of it, that’s more or less what Trump does in these situations. Whenever he knows a major Trump-Russia bombshell is about to drop, he telegraphs it from a mile away. He just did so.

Major media outlets typically ask Trump’s White House if it’s willing to provide a comment for use in any significant Trump-related story it’s about to publish. This means Trump knows what’s coming. Whenever it’s bad for him, and particularly when it’s bad news about his Russia scandal, Trump jumps on Twitter and frantically tries to create a distraction. He nearly always does it in one of two ways: by picking a fight with a famous black person, or by launching into a crazed rant about Hillary Clinton and President Obama.

This time Trump has chosen the latter. This time around Trump couldn’t even come up with his own words, so he merely quoted a lunatic guest from Fox News: “Not only has Trump been vindicated in the last several weeks about the mishandling of the Dossier and the lies about the Clinton/DNC Dossier, it shows that he’s been victimized. He’s been victimized by the Obama Administration.” Uh, yeah, sure, Donald. That’s it. Your treasonous plot with Russia to rig the election in your favor is somehow a Hillary-Obama scandal.

It appears Donald Trump is so lost in a haze of lunatic conspiracy theories, he actually believes this kind of garbage. But he only begins ranting about it like this when he’s trying to create a distraction from what he knows is coming. Here comes another Trump-Russia bombshell. It sounds like this one will be fairly large. Stay tuned.
