Donald Trump tips off that a major bombshell is about to land
Like the world’s worst poker player, Donald Trump has a “tell” that gives him away every time. Come to think of it, that may help explain why he’s gone bankrupt six times. But when it comes to Trump’s scandals and the bombshells that keep surfacing about them, Trump consistently gives himself away when he knows that something is about to surface. He just did it again.
Whenever Donald Trump has learned that a particularly ugly expose about one of his criminal scandals is about to be published, he hops on Twitter and tries to start a feud with one or more black public figures. This makes him look terrible in the eyes of normal Americans, and it makes him look good in the eyes of his racist base, but the larger point is that it changes the discussion and gets the public and the media discussing his racism instead of his scandal.
Sure enough, this morning Trump launched into this tirade about black football players: “The NFL players are at it again – taking a knee when they should be standing proudly for the National Anthem. Numerous players, from different teams, wanted to show their “outrage” at something that most of them are unable to define.” He also attacked Nancy Pelosi, another giveaway, as he tends to attack Democratic leaders whenever he needs a distraction. But the real clue came this evening.
Even as the sun was setting, Donald Trump was still frantically ranting away on Twitter, which is rare for him in the evening. At various points his tweets tonight have referenced Mexico, Canada, France, and Kanye West among others. Trump is throwing everything at the wall that he can in rapid succession, and he only does this when he believes a major bombshell is about to land. Stay tuned.
