Donald Trump apparently caught trying to fool Lesley Stahl with blank book during 60 Minutes debacle

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

We still don’t know why Donald Trump abruptly walked out in the middle of his 60 Minutes interview with Lesley Stahl yesterday. CBS has all the footage of whatever went down, but we don’t know how much if any of it they’ll release before 60 Minutes airs on Sunday night. Meanwhile Trump is trying to go on the offensive, but it’s not exactly working for him.

This afternoon Trump tweeted a series of images of Lesley Stahl looking at a very thick book, adding “Kayleigh McEnany presenting Lesley Stahl (@60Minutes) with some of the many things we’ve done for Healthcare. Lesley had no idea!” Here’s the thing though.

Andrew Solender of Forbes and others have noticed that the book appears to be blank:

That’s right, Donald Trump not only tried to fool Lesley Stahl by presenting her with a giant book that was partly or entirely blank, he’s now told on himself by tweeting a photo of the blank book. We don’t know if the blow up that ended the interview was about the book or some other topic, but this sure isn’t looking good for Trump. By Sunday night at the latest, we’ll see the footage of what really went down.
