Donald Trump goes off the deep end about black people

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

It took him a day and a half, but it seems Donald Trump finally got around to watching Aretha Franklin’s funeral, where one black public figure after another ripped him a new one. Of course that wasn’t any different from John McCain’s funeral, where one white public figure after another ripped him a new one. But Trump is now getting, shall we say, rather defensive about the fact that most black people hate him.

You don’t have to look any further than approval rating polls to see that Donald Trump is exceedingly unpopular with African Americans. From his institutionally racist policies to his overtly racist words, it’s not difficult to ascertain why. But don’t tell that to Trump, because in his deluded mind, black people love him. Or at least he really, really wants us to believe as much.

Here’s what Trump tweeted this morning: “Tiger Woods showed great class in the way he answered the question about the Office of the Presidency and me. Now they say the so-called “left” is angry at him. So sad, but the “center & right” loves Tiger, Kanye, George Foreman, Jim Brown & so many other greats, even more. The fact is that African/American unemployment is now the lowest in the history of our country. Same with Asian, Hispanic and almost every other group. The Democrats have been all talk and no action. My Administration has already produced like no other, and everyone sees it!” Come on, really?

The surreal part here is that Tiger Woods didn’t even defend Donald Trump. He couldn’t bring himself to go any further than talking about respect for the office, which is something you only say when you don’t respect the person in the office, or you know full well why so many others don’t respect the person in the office. As for Trump’s supposed economic accomplishments, those are all of course thanks to President Obama – a consistent target of Trump’s racism over the years.
