Dear Palmer Report readers,
we all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.
In that regard we're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $3760 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,

Even in a Republican House that’s known for its lunacy, Nancy Mace is pretty out there. At one point she showed up to work wearing a Scarlet Letter “A” on her shirt, which is just… you know. But now Mace has a new scandal on her hands, and it’s pretty bizarre as well.
It started off badly enough when a group of Nancy Mace’s key staffers either quit or got fired last month, including her chief of staff, claiming that she was leading a toxic work environment. That’s pretty bad, right? Now it turns out Mace’s former chief of staff is plotting revenge in rather interesting fashion.
Nancy Mace’s former chief of staff has now filed to run against her in a primary challenge in 2024. This is a district that swings seven points Republican, so it would be exceedingly difficult for a Democratic candidate to get traction. But if Mace were to somehow lose a Republican primary challenge to her own former chief of staff, that sure would be something. In any case, it seems like the people who have worked for Mace must really hate her.
