Donald Trump and Bill Barr suddenly have a whole new problem

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. Donald Trump is doing a good job of taking himself down right now, with his worsening economy, worsening scandals, and increasingly erratic behavior all contributing to 2020 poll numbers that spell doom for him. But now House Democrats are preparing to set one of Trump’s most salacious scandals on fire for all to see – and they’re targeting Trump’s corrupt Attorney General Bill Barr in the process.

It’s a given that Donald Trump will be criminally indicted, if not by the Feds at the SDNY then certainly by the New York Attorney General, the minute he leaves office. One of the easiest crimes to nail him on will be his role in the illegal hush money payoff to Stormy Daniels, which has already sent Trump’s former underling Michael Cohen to prison. House Democrats have now decided to push that scandal front and center.

The House Judiciary Committee will start holding public hearings next month on Donald Trump’s role in the hush money scandal, which was a felony violation of campaign finance law, according to the Washington Post. In the process, they’ll be pushing the embarrassing scandal back into the spotlight. It’s not clear who all will be called to testify, but it is clear that Bill Barr is being targeted.

WaPo says that in addition to covering Donald Trump’s criminal role in the scandal, House Democrats will also focus on Bill Barr’s role in the SDNY’s recent announcement that it will not be bringing any additional criminal charges at this time. This is not only laying the groundwork for Trump’s impeachment, it’s laying the groundwork for felony obstruction of justice charges against Barr once Trump is gone.
