Donald Trump announces that Bill Barr has resigned
Moments ago, Joe Biden surpassed the 270 mark in today’s electoral college voting, officially making him President-elect of the United States. We predicted that Donald Trump would try some stunt to try to steal the spotlight. We just didn’t know he’d do it so quickly. Just now Trump tweeted that Bill Barr has resigned.
Trump tweeted this: “ Just had a very nice meeting with Attorney General Bill Barr at the White House. Our relationship has been a very good one, he has done an outstanding job! As per letter, Bill will be leaving just before Christmas to spend the holidays with his family. Deputy Attorney General Jeff Rosen, an outstanding person, will become Acting Attorney General. Highly respected Richard Donoghue will be taking over the duties of Deputy Attorney General. Thank you to all!“
So here we are. As Palmer Report pointed out last week when the rumors first started, it really doesn’t matter at this point. It’s far too late for Trump and his new Acting Attorney General to somehow start waving a magic wand and turn things around for him. Trump is finished. Period.
