Bill Barr is terrified
Palmer Report has been reporting on the bizarre moves by Attorney General William Barr, unofficial personal attorney for the interests of Donald Trump. This includes his attempt to recast what the DOJ Inspector General investigation revealed, as well as his odd decision to include information showing Christopher Steele had a relationship with the Trump family for many years. In the latest twist, “Low” Barr is trying to get the Cult 45 to believe that the most dangerous person in modern times is not President Donald J. Trump or any of his posse or orbit, but – wait for it – President Barack Obama.
Barr stated in an NBC News interview: “I think, probably, from a civil liberties standpoint, the greatest danger to our free system is that the incumbent government used the apparatus of the state — principally, the law enforcement agencies and the intelligence agencies — both to spy on political opponents. But as to use them in a way that could affect the outcome of the election. As far as I’m aware, this is the first time in history that this has been done to a presidential campaign.”
Asserting there was spying on the Trump campaign by Obama, which Horowitz’s report rejected, Barr went on to state: “I think our nation was turned on its head for three years based on a completely bogus narrative that was largely fanned and hyped by a completely irresponsible press. I think there were gross abuses . . . and inexplicable behavior that is intolerable in the FBI. There was and never has been any evidence of collusion, and yet this campaign and the president’s administration has been dominated by this investigation into what turns out to be completely baseless.”
That is astounding from anyone, let alone the highest law enforcement official in the United States. Barr is a dangerous person who eventually if he keeps acting as he has might find himself behind bars.
