Bill Barr is failing even worse in his attempt at getting Michael Flynn off the hook

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Attorney General Bill Barr is currently quarantined after having been exposed to coronavirus, and as it turns out, that may be the least of his problems at the moment. Donald Trump has tasked Barr with getting the criminal case thrown out against his former henchman Michael Flynn, but we keep being reminded that Barr isn’t very good at this stuff.

Barr has spent months trying to get the Flynn case thrown out, but the courts ended up ruling that he can’t do that. Last week, as a last ditch measure, Barr’s DOJ submitted handwritten notes from Peter Strzok and Andrew McCabe as supposed evidence that the FBI conspired to frame Flynn. The trouble: Strzok noticed that someone else had written incorrect dates on the notes. Busted!

Now Bill Barr’s DOJ is in court insisting today that they did it by accident. No, really. They’re spinning a tale involving post-it notes and copy machines, and let’s just say that it’s all less than credible. Now that Team Barr is reduced to claiming that they falsified the evidence by accident, we expect their last ditch motion will be thrown out, and Flynn will be sentenced accordingly.

This comes after Bill Barr tried and failed to intervene on Trump’s behalf in the Roger Stone, Michael Cohen, Lev and Igor, and Steve Bannon cases. Despite what some pundits keep saying, Barr isn’t particularly skilled at this henchman stuff.
