When President Joe Biden delivered a brief yet vital speech Monday night about the Supreme Court’s immunity ruling, he was just getting started. The Biden campaign has now announced a 7-figure ad blitz to continue the message to help ensure that Americans understand how much democracy is at stake in November’s election.

The ads will run in key swing states like Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania and on networks like CNN, MSNBC, and ESPN, targeting viewers who care about upholding democratic values and the rule of law, according to a report from Axios. The Biden campaign is also choosing networks such as TNT, Bravo, FX, Freeform, and Comedy Central to reach younger, diverse audiences during popular programming.

As the United States celebrates Independence Day, the ads, which promote the continued survival of our hard-fought democracy, have already hit the airwaves. “Nearly 250 years ago, America was founded in defiance of a king under the belief that no one is above the law, not even the president—until now” the newest ad begins. Tying the birth of the nation to our modern-day crisis, the ad warns that Donald Trump has “already led an insurrection and threatened to be a dictator on day one.”

As we inch closer to the election, the Biden’s new advertising campaign hammers home the message that there is only one major presidential candidate and political party committed to democracy, accountability, and the rule of law. By contrast, Trump is chomping at the bit to test out the limits of the dangerous new presidential powers the Supreme Court appears to have gifted him in a potential second term. The ads are an urgent reminder that voters can put an end to the madness. Donate to Palmer Report, click here!
