Donald Trump has berserk meltdown after Trump-Russia treason is exposed
The past twenty-four hours have blown the long simmering Trump Russia scandal wide open. Paul Manafort met with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange during the 2016 election. Robert Mueller has emails proving that Jerome Corsi told Trump’s oldest friend Roger Stone about the WikiLeaks email dump in advance. Members of Congress are on television using the word “treason.” Everything is hitting the fan, and Donald Trump is hitting the berserk button.
It took Trump long enough to finally explode tonight, but he ended up posting this really weird tweet, which may reveal some things: “The Mueller Witch Hunt is a total disgrace. They are looking at supposedly stolen Crooked Hillary Clinton Emails (even though they don’t want to look at the DNC Server), but have no interest in the Emails that Hillary DELETED & acid washed AFTER getting a Congressional Subpoena!” So where does this get us?
First, whether by intention or by cluelessness, Donald Trump is falsely asserting that the developments of the past day have anything to do with Hillary’s emails. They do not. As far as anyone knows, no one ever successfully hacked Hillary’s private email server – hence why she used one. The DNC email server was hacked by the Russians, and WikiLeaks did strategically release those emails. But the central part of the story is about the phishing/hacking of John Podesta’s personal Gmail account, which is what Roger Stone was referring to in his infamous and incriminating tweet.
Second, even with Robert Mueller on the verge of crushing him like a grape, Donald Trump is still obsessively ranting about Hillary Clinton. It’s the only tool he has left in an increasingly empty shed. All he’s doing here is riling up his increasingly shrinking base, and they’re not big enough to save him all by themselves. Trump has no strategy. If he did, he’d be working on carrying it out, instead of frustratedly tweeting this rehashed nonsense.
