Donald Trump goes berserk about Robert Mueller
So many things have gone wrong for Donald Trump in the past half a day, it’s difficult to even figure out what triggered him. Maybe it was the fact that his campaign chairman Paul Manafort is just days, maybe just hours, from being convicted at trial. Maybe it was last night’s revelation that his longtime fixer Michael Cohen is less than two weeks away from arrest. Maybe it was the hysterical meltdown from his own attorney. But something sent Trump even more over the edge than usual this morning as he went utterly berserk about Robert Mueller.
Here’s the unhinged tirade that Donald Trump unleashed this morning: “Disgraced and discredited Bob Mueller and his whole group of Angry Democrat Thugs spent over 30 hours with the White House Councel, only with my approval, for purposes of transparency. Anybody needing that much time when they know there is no Russian Collusion is just someone looking for trouble. They are enjoying ruining people’s lives and REFUSE to look at the real corruption on the Democrat side – the lies, the firings, the deleted Emails and soooo much more! Mueller’s Angry Dems are looking to impact the election. They are a National Disgrace!” Somewhere in here, Trump gave away a few things.
For starters, Trump is obviously more worried about the Trump-Russia investigation than ever, or he wouldn’t be escalating his rhetoric. For whatever it’s worth, Trump still hasn’t learned how to spell “Counsel.” But the most telling part here is this: Trump is clearly bothered by the fact that his White House Counsel Don McGahn spent thirty hours testifying against him. Trump had spent the weekend insisting that McGahn didn’t actually sell him out by testifying. Now, however, it seems to be sinking in that McGahn and Mueller didn’t spend that long talking about the weather.
Donald Trump went on to post this rant: “Where’s the Collusion? They made up a phony crime called Collusion, and when there was no Collusion they say there was Obstruction (of a phony crime that never existed). If you FIGHT BACK or say anything bad about the Rigged Witch Hunt, they scream Obstruction!” Here he gave away that he’s extremely worried about being criminally charged with obstruction of justice, now that he knows Don McGahn gave Robert Mueller so many important pieces of the obstruction puzzle.
