Donald Trump gives berserk new interview to Fox News
Donald Trump just finished giving a rally speech so exceedingly deranged, even by his standards, we were surprised the men in white lab coats didn’t escort him away in a straitjacket. But that was just the beginning of the insanity, as Team Trump decided to use the rally to broadcast the audio of a new interview that Trump has done with Fox News, which isn’t set to air until tomorrow morning. Let’s just say that it’s more than a bit berserk in its own right.
Here’s a portion of what CNN was able to transcribe of the Trump interview with Fox News: “you could call it treason, you could call it a lot of things, but to think you have somebody in all of the Cabinets, so many people, as you know.” Trump then went on to hallucinate about the notion of the anonymous op-ed author somehow being a “deep state person” who is not a Republican or a conservative, even though the author is in fact someone he handpicked for his White House.
The audio from this interview was being broadcast at a rally in which Donald Trump spent his speech slurring his words, needing multiple tries to pronounce the word “anonymous,” insisting that the op-ed author was a woman before changing his mind and changing it back to a man, and ranting about his own impeachment.
Donald Trump hasn’t been close to mentally stable or mentally competent throughout his time in politics. But since the release of the Bob Woodward book about how Trump’s own advisers all think he’s dangerously insane, and the op-ed about how Trump’s cabinet has considered invoking the 25th Amendment against him, we’re seeing Trump sink to a whole new level of… whatever the hell is wrong with him.
