Donald Trump goes berserk after Colin Powell announces he’s voting for Joe Biden
Retired Army General and former Secretary of State Colin Powell, a lifelong Republican, announced today that he’s voting for 2020 Democratic nominee Joe Biden. While Powell begun voting Democrat in recent years, he still carries weight with some older moderate Republicans – and he’s endorsing Biden far earlier in the election cycle than he’s ever previously endorsed any Democrat.
Suffice it to say that Donald Trump is unnerved by the news. Trump is already melting down about how Colin Powell is “a real stiff” – whatever that’s supposed to mean within the current context – while also insisting that Joe Biden is “another stiff.”
Trump then had the nerve to tweet “Somebody please tell highly overrated Colin Powell that I have … rebuilt our once depleted Military.” Really? Powell is a four star General. He’s the last person who’s going to buy Trump’s lies about the current state of the military. Trump hasn’t “rebuilt” anything. Powell said this morning that he can’t abide by the fact that Trump lies all the time – and now Trump is proving Powell’s point with yet another bizarre lie.
